Welcome to 7clouds' The Winners, a weekly series. As the ever-growing network that we are here at 7clouds, we'll be taking a look (and many different angles) into what has defined our brand for over a decade: Lyric YouTube videos. They are the core of who we are, and are a true part of our identity, spanning over 40 videos uploaded every single day across our various channels on the most watched platform in the history of the Internet.
In 7clouds' The Winners, every week we take a look at the seven best performing recent videos across our many channels, which span from Country and Chill, to Rock, Rap, R&B, and even countries like Italy, Argentina, Canada and Australia. The peculiarity of this series is that we rank the top videos based on how they've overperformed their neighbours in their specific channels. This means that, for example, for 7clouds Latin, we only compare its recent seven videos against themselves, and not against other channels, or by jugding only by viewcount alone. This allows us to have a clear picture of how well a video did against its local average. We represent this by an x. Meaning that if, for example, a video uploaded in a given week had 6,000 views in a channel with an average viewcount of 1,000, its value would be 6x.
Enough chitchat. Let's dive into this week's countdown.
7. 7clouds Dance Club: Glass Animals - Heat Waves (Lyrics) | 16x
Glass Animals officially kicks off their massive multi-channel weekend play. Landing a smooth 16x multiplier on the Dance Club flagship, the track’s breezy, driving electronic production serves as the perfect low-friction transition into early-weekend party playlists.
6. 7clouds Indie: MGMT - Kids (Lyrics) | 53x
Tapping deep into premium, high-retention 2000s indie-pop nostalgia, MGMT secures a stellar 53x velocity jump. Kids remains an absolute weapon for keeping session durations high, acting as a massive anchor for core indie music purists.
5. 7clouds Lofi: Firehouse - You Are My Religion (Lyrics) | 55x
In an incredibly clever programmatic shift, taking a high-emotion 90s rock ballad and filtering it into a slowed-down, textured lofi landscape completely caught the algorithm off guard, triggering a sharp 55x velocity spike for late-night listeners.
4. 7clouds Acoustic: The Cranberries - Zombie (Lyrics) | 70x
Following its massive success on the main Rock channel over the past few weeks, Zombie migrates beautifully into the Acoustic framework. Stripping the track down to its bare elements commands a heavy 70x multiplier, proving high-drama classics can be endlessly recontextualized.
3. 7clouds Mexico: Fuerza Regida, Manuel Turizo - UNA CERVEZA (Texto/Lyrics) | 114x
A spectacular triple-digit performance on regional turf! Clocking an impressive 114x velocity spike to pull over a quarter-million views, this heavy urban-corrido collaboration is capturing the absolute peak of summer lifestyle streaming across Latin territories.
2. 7clouds UK: Glass Animals - Heat Waves (Lyrics) | 571x
An absolute monster of a localized performance. By aligning perfectly with the mid-July temperature spikes, Heat Waves executed a textbook seasonal raid on its home turf, charging to a towering 571x multiplier to capture 241,000 views on the UK flagship.
1. 7clouds Trap: Dominic Fike - Babydoll (Lyrics) | 758x
A historic coronation to claim the Week 28 crown. By placing Dominic Fike’s guitar-driven, alternative indie-pop anthem straight into the high-velocity Trap engine, the algorithm went into absolute hyperdrive. Pulling a staggering, breathtaking 1.74 million views while sustaining a near-quadruple-digit 758x multiplier is an elite, hall-of-fame performance that completely redefines the scale of the sub-channels.
From Glass Animals dropping over half a million combined views across their multi-channel blitz to Dominic Fike putting up an absolute million-view masterclass on Trap, Week 28 has shown an empire operating at its absolute highest peak. The formatting is running completely clean, the data is pristine, and the sub-channels are officially punching with the weight of major flagships.
